Samosa is Motu's favorite food, and he often tries to steal it from the local Chaiwala who's making the best samosas in the city. Motu is mostly the duo's black sheep, unintentionally creating problems because of his stupidness, while Patlu is smart and always tries to do it. Sometimes people like Ghasitaram, Dr. Jhatka Chingum is going to help them.

new motu patlu movie 2020 | However, at times Ghasitaram misdirects and swindles them by having them try Dr. Jhatka's vast repertoire of quirky gadgets and gizmos. After Motu eats samosas, he's temporarily gaining more energy and strength than he normally does.
The main antagonist of the series is a criminal named "John the Don," who is always accompanied by his two big but weak and stupid henchmen, number one and number two. John intends to become a gift, but his plans always fail because of the heroic actions of Motu and Patlu, who are trapping and exposing him and his plans, Tit for Tat.
In some episodes, John would seek to hurt them by stealing Dr. Jhatka's gadget and using it on Motu Patlu, but they would soon take the aid of Dr. Jhatka and give John a taste of his own medicine.
In the most recent episodes we can see, they began to live in a city called the Modern City. A few new characters have been introduced.

Motu:
Motu is a plump man who is one of the main protagonists of the series. He likes to eat samosas, which gives him strength. He's a gardener, guy. Patlu is the best friend of Motu's. He also finds himself in trouble because of his acts. He's just looking for the best way to make money, have fun and eat a lot of samosas, even though it means he's going to get himself in trouble.Often he gets over-expressive when celebrating his triumph, and he may do something really dumb, like bringing back a pirate to the present he had recently sent back to the past. He's even seen boasting about something he's never achieved. Yet he's a good-natured man who wants to help others. He wears a red tunic with a navy blue (but mostly black) jumper, yellow pyjamas, and shoes.
His talking voice is inspired by Dara Singh. If he eats samosas, he gets extra strength like Chhota Bheem, so he can beat anyone in the world. He's described as really scared of the mice. His father is thought to have been kidnapped by extraterrestrials from Axar in his quest for extraterrestrial life forms in the universe.
Patlu:
Patlu is a slim guy, one of the main protagonists of the series. He's also described as the smartest guy in town. He also gets into trouble with Motu, but he tends to rescue himself and Motu when they're in trouble. He always urges Motu to be on their usual path and thus live a "danger-free" life, but Motu can always be coaxed (or forced) to support him.
He doesn't like samosas, but he likes to read the newspapers. It is also suspected that his grandfather was a boxing champion and had a formula for exceptional strength, which Motu later discovered. She wears a yellow tunic with orange leggings, dark-framed glasses and white shoes.
